Are you an experienced Packaging professional looking for an opportunity to drive innovation, sustainability and continuous improvement within a leading FMCG environment?

We are recruiting for a Packaging Development Manager to join a fast‑paced, highly collaborative business based in Leeds. This exciting role is ideal for someone with strong FMCG packaging experience – ideally within food manufacturing – who enjoys taking projects from concept through to factory implementation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead packaging projects through the full development lifecycle.
• Coordinate supplier and factory trials, agree specifications, and support production launches.
• Ensure packaging materials remain compliant with relevant legislation and customer requirements.
• Collaborate with external suppliers, OEMs and retail customers to stay at the forefront of packaging technologies and emerging market trends.
• Operate commercially‑aware, technically strong, and confident management of multiple projects in a complex FMCG manufacturing environment.
• Communicate and manage stakeholders internally and externally, influencing across the organization.

Qualifications & Experience

• Proven packaging development experience within FMCG manufacturing, ideally food or drink.
• Experience delivering packaging change programmes, leading trials and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Commercial awareness combined with technical expertise.

Requirements

• Travel required across the UK.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a car.
