Section Engineer

Role Overview

• Project: A417 Missing Link (Major Highways & Environmental Green Bridges)
• Location: Gloucester / Gloucestershire
• Contract Type: Contract – 12 Months +
• Reports To: Sub Agent / Project Manager

Key Responsibilitie

• sStructural Delivery: Take full ownership of a defined structures section (e.g., bridge structures, reinforced concrete (RC) elements, piling, or beam lifts) from planning through to handover
• .Quality Assurance: Ensure all structural works are constructed in strict accordance with design specifications, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), and Highways standards
• .Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor Site Engineers, providing technical guidance and checking setting out and dimensional control
• .Subcontractor Management: Coordinate day-to-day activities with specialist subcontractors, plant, and materials teams
• .Commercial & Progress: Monitor daily progress against short-term lookahead programmes and escalate technical or program queries to the Sub Agent
• .Health & Safety: Enforce the highest standards of H&S and environmental compliance across a live, landscape-led highways environment
