Steel Erector | Magherafelt, Mid Ulster | £20 an hour PAYE | Full time

We are seeking an experienced Steel Erector with SSSTS & Supervisor experience to join a skilled site crew working on structural steelwork projects. This is a hands‑on role with a strong pipeline of consistent site work.

Start Date: ASAP

Location: Magherafelt

Rate: £20 an hour PAYE

Hours: 40 hours per week + Overtime opportunities depending on programme requirements

Contract: Permanent

Duties

• Safely erect structural steel including beams, columns, bracing, and frameworks in line with drawings and method statements.
• Work confidently at height using harnesses, MEWPs, and access systems.
• Read and interpret GA and fabrication drawings to ensure correct installation and alignment.
• Assist with lifting operations and communicate clearly with crane operators and supervisors.
• Follow all health & safety procedures and maintain high standards of workmanship.

Requirements

• Valid CSR / Steel Erector card (essential).
• IPAF tickets (essential).
• Proven experience in structural steel erection and a strong understanding of working at height.
• Slinger/Signaller / Telehandler (A40) ticket (preferred).
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work well within a team.
