Bluebird Care is a leading Home Care provider in Oxfordshire, committed to delivering outstanding, person‑centred care in customers’ own homes.

Location: Oxford, South and West Oxfordshire

Salary: £28,000 per annum.

This role is part of our senior management team, supporting the Deputy Care Manager and Customer Care Managers in ensuring the highest quality of care.

Responsibilities

  • Support the efficient running of a designated area and supervise Care Assistants.
  • Assist with customer assessments, care planning and risk assessments.
  • Ensure care plans are regularly reviewed and updated in line with customer needs.
  • Guide Care Assistants to deliver safe, high‑quality care.
  • Work closely with coordinators to match Care Assistants with customers effectively.
  • Monitor and update MAR charts and customer records.
  • Participate in the emergency out‑of‑hours on‑call rota when required.
  • Support quality assurance, investigations and continuous service improvement.
  • Promote customer dignity, independence, privacy and choice at all times.
  • Ensure all care delivery complies with Bluebird Care policies and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Caring and compassionate nature with a commitment to high‑quality care.
  • Experience working within care services.
  • Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
  • Good understanding of person‑centred care and support planning.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good organisational and administrative skills with computer literacy.
  • Understanding of safeguarding, confidentiality and health & safety within care services.
  • Relevant social care qualification or willingness to work towards one.
  • Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points and access to a vehicle with business insurance.
  • Willingness to participate in flexible working and on‑call duties.

Desirable

  • Experience supervising care staff.
  • Previous experience completing risk assessments and care planning.
