Responsibilities
- Minimise production downtime by carrying out routine scheduled maintenance (PPMs) and responding to unplanned breakdowns within stipulated timeframes
- Ensure production operations maximise output and minimise downtime safely through regular planned maintenance
- Respond to unplanned breakdowns in a timely and effective manner, working alongside engineering and production colleagues to minimise disruption
- Optimise the performance and lifecycle of operational equipment with regular preventative maintenance, working with the Production team to identify and understand causes of equipment wear and underperformance
- Diagnose and repair equipment breakdowns
- Carry out all work according to Safe Systems of Work, Risk Assessments, SOPs, Dynamic Risk Assessments and company policies and procedures
Requirements
- In depth understanding of fault finding/diagnostics on manufacturing machinery
- Electrical & Mechanical Competencies
- Relevant Electrical/Mechanical Qualifications (City & Guilds/NVQs) – Advantageous
- Electrical bias – Advantageous
- Experience of working in a fast paced production environment for a minimum of 2 years – Essential
