Our Opportunity

Do you have a passion for enhancing an environment where people work, to create a safe, collaborative and professional space? Are you a knowledgeable facilities professional, with experience overseeing the maintenance and operations of buildings? 

We are looking for a talented Facilities Manager to help deliver our workplace strategy. As we operate nationally this role can be based at either are London, Manchester, Bristol, Birmingham, Nottingham or Leicester office. Our agile working policy will enable you to work from home, the office or client site. Given the nature of the role travel is required to ensure our offices, facilities and buildings are operating effectively.  

Reporting into the property group, you will manage our property portfolio, ensuring our estates meet the business requirements and comply with statutory legislation. You will work closely with senior stakeholders across compliance, business support and IT, to ensure quality outputs are delivered.

Your typical responsibilities will include;

  • Liaising and interfacing with landlords, agents and professionals regarding premises matters and historical maintenance matters.
  • Identifying opportunities and instigating conversations for improvement with our facilities and workspaces.
  • Handling maintenance and service contracts, reviewing costs and potential areas of cost savings.

About You

If you have a proven track record in facilities management of commercial property, across multiple sites within the UK, apply today.

 

Skills and experience required to deliver the role include; 

  • A comprehensive knowledge and understanding of Facilities Management legislative health & safety requirements.
  • Good understanding of the UK property management, including landlord and tenant obligations under UK law.
  • Strong negotiation skills, experienced in securing value settlements through negotiation with Landlords, Agents, surveyors etc. in all Landlord and Tenant issues.
  • Excellent inter-personal skills coupled with planning and programming skills.
  • Professional membership of RICS preferred, other institutions considered include: IWFM, CIOB, APM, RIBA
