This is a brand new role within a bustling Finance department, affording great autonomy as well as fantastic support and collaboration.

This is a fantastic opportunity for the right individual to lead and shape the future of our Finance department. 

 

As the Senior Business Partner at Pick Everard, reporting directly into the Finance Director, you will be a key financial leader within the organisation, responsible for overseeing the financial aspects of our diverse portfolio of construction and consultancy projects.

 

This role requires a deep understanding of project accounting within the construction industry, paired with strong leadership and strategic financial management skills.

 

You will collaborate closely with project teams and senior management to ensure the financial success of projects and contribute to the overall financial health of the company.

 

You will be delivering a number of important functions, including monitoring project financial performance, identifying risks and opportunities, and implementing corrective actions as required, managing projects cash flow, including billings, collections and payments to optimise working capital and analysing project financial data to identify trends, variances and highlight issues arising.

 

 Key Responsibilities 

  • Provide strategic financial guidance to project teams and senior leadership, supporting informed decision-making to enhance project profitability.
  • Continuously monitor project financial performance, identifying risks and opportunities, and implementing corrective measures as necessary.
  • Oversee the development and management of detailed project budgets, ensuring alignment with Pick Everard’s financial objectives and project scopes.
  • Manage all project related month end and year end accounting including management of WIP valuation/reviews.
  • Engage with the fee earners to reduce exceptions and mitigate errors
  • Other project related tasks as necessary

About You

Key Requirements

It is essential for you to have: 

  • In-depth knowledge of project accounting practices within the construction and consultancy sectors.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting. ·
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities. ·
  • High attention to detail and accuracy. ·
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.

It would be nice for you to be:

 

  • CIMA/ ACCA qualified or QBE
