Job Title: Data Engineer / Senior Data Engineering Location: London – Hybrid 3/2Sector: Energy Transition
Mint Selection is partnered with an innovative and impressive energy company who are building the next generation of energy infrastructure. Aimed at greater grid flexibility and dynamic energy storage, the company is looking for Data Engineers to support the build-out of everything from their core data platform to powerful data tools and sophisticated data pipelines.
If you are:
- Confident, proactive and able to work autonomously.
- Data Engineering generalist – able to tackle problems across the breadth of data engineering, from researching new solutions to development and integration.
- Experienced in developing solutions from scratch, with a minimum of experience in engineering data pipelines.
- Possessing an excellent understanding of architecture and cutting-edge data tooling, ideally with experience in engineering and implementing.
- A proactive problem solver – identifying and solving future problems and limitations before they have an effect, ideally confident enough to not ask for permission before acting.
Due to the company’s focus in the forecasting space, it is also desirable that you have exposure to:
- Time series data
- Large (often messy) data sets
- Experience with Terraform and Docker.
The role fundamentally involves building the core data infrastructure alongside data scientists and developers. You will contribute to the engineering roadmap including future stack, architecture, and data sources as the team grows, taking a central role in its success.
