Senior Associate – Non-Contentious Construction (4–7 PQE)
About the Role
A leading international law firm is seeking a Senior Associate to join its nationally recognised Construction & Engineering team. This non-contentious role involves advising on major energy, infrastructure, and development projects across the UK and internationally. The successful candidate will work with a diverse client base, including governments, public bodies, multinational corporations, and contractors, providing strategic and commercial legal advice on complex transactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Drafting and negotiating construction contracts, professional appointments, and ancillary documents, with a focus on NEC and FIDIC standard forms.
- Providing strategic legal advice on procurement and project delivery for large-scale energy and infrastructure projects.
- Mentoring and supervising junior lawyers within the team.
- Collaborating with colleagues across national and international offices to develop growth areas for the team.
- Engaging in business development activities to contribute to the team’s strategic direction.
Qualifications and Experience
- Qualified solicitor in England & Wales with 4–7 years PQE in non-contentious construction law.
- Strong technical skills and experience with NEC and FIDIC contracts.
- Proven ability to manage complex construction and engineering projects.
- Excellent communication skills and a commitment to providing first-rate client service.
- Experience in business development and mentoring junior team members.
