obtAIn are working with a leading Fintech who are looking for an Operations Manager to help with grow out their Operations function by driving processes, embed automation and efficiencies to help them achieve their business objectives.
Working with an exceptional Leadership Team, this is a great opportunity for a Team Leader from the Payments sector to step up into an Operations Manager role and make it your own. The Operations Manager will oversee and manage all aspects of Payments operations across the Fintech, have impeccable communication skills to manage relationships (both internally and externally) effectively and develop and implement efficient and secure payment processes and procedures to minimise risk and maximise operational efficiencies.
Managing a small team, the Operations Manager will provide leadership and guidance including training, performance management, and career development.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of payment operations across the Fintech
- Manage relationships with payment service providers, banks, and other external partners to ensure smooth and timely payment processing, always demonstrating excellent Communications
- Ensure up to date compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to payment processing and operations
- Develop and implement efficient and secure payment processes and procedures to minimise risk and maximise operational efficiencies
- Monitor and analyse payment trends, volumes, and patterns to identify potential issues or opportunities for improvement
- Establish and use reporting on operational metrics to ensure payments are operating effectively and analyse payment data to take proactive measures to drive payments performance metrics.
- Manage internal operations to optimise payment transactions, employing daily and monthly reporting for performance evaluation.
- The set up, reviewing and continuous improvement of reporting and reconciliation processes
- Develop and maintain payment-related policies and documentation, including standard operating procedures and risk mitigation strategies.
- Stay up to speed of industry trends, new payment technologies, and regulatory changes that may impact payment operations, and recommend enhancements
- Address customer escalations, often necessitating direct communication with customers
