Alexander Steele is delighted to be working exclusively in partnership with a leading food manufacturing business that is looking to appoint an experienced Quality Manager to join their site in London. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Quality Manager seeking a new challenge.
The role:
Reporting to the Technical Manager, the Quality Manager will drive a culture of quality assurance, GMP, and continuous improvement throughout the business. You will coordinate and maintain activities to ensure all food is safe, legal, and meets exceptional quality standards for the business and customers.
- Manage and develop the Quality team.
- Lead the HACCP team and maintain the HACCP plan.
- Ensure the site is audit-ready and the QMS is up to date.
- Support all BRC and third-party audits.
- Complete internal and traceability audits and ensure corrective actions for non-conformances are implemented promptly.
- Manage site calibration and pest control.
- Implement robust quality checks across the factory.
- Investigate complaints and product non-conformances, and ensure corrective actions are timely.
- Ensure compliance with product labelling regulations.
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly meetings and reporting as agreed with the Technical Manager.
The candidate:
- At least 2 years of experience in a Quality Management or Supervisory role in food manufacturing.
- HACCP Level 3 and Food Safety Level 3 certification.
- Lead Auditor or equivalent experience.
- Excellent working knowledge of BRC standards.
