Python Software Design Engineer – Renewables
Lead Programmer for software tools for a leading renewable engineering company.
NB: Please note it is essential to have OO software coding & structural engineering experience in Java, C++, C#, VB, or Python.

The Role:
• Lead programmer for new software tools for offshore wind.
• Lead development of offshore wind turbine foundation concept design tools.
• Create code and have experience with Matlab, Python, or similar.
• Focus on foundations & steel design for offshore wind turbines, including stress analysis, FE, loads modeling, and complete design of large offshore foundations such as jackets, monopiles, and steel towers.
• Collaborate with experienced offshore structural engineers for guidance and development direction.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE:
- Mechanical / Structural / Civil Engineering degree
- Offshore wind engineering experience
- Programming experience with Matlab & Python
- Structural engineering expertise
Advantages include experience with:
- DNV’s SESAM-GENIE
- Dynamics of offshore wind turbine foundations (jacket, monopile, floating)
- Steel structures such as towers
- Geotechnical engineering
