Job Title: Front End React Developer (WebGL) – Contract
Start Date: ASAP
Overview:
We’re looking for a skilled Front End React Developer with hands-on experience in WebGL to join our team on a contract basis. You’ll be working on a cutting-edge digital product that requires high-performance, interactive visual experiences. This is a great opportunity to contribute to a technically exciting project in a flexible, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain interactive, high-performance web applications using React.js and WebGL
- Collaborate with designers and backend engineers to deliver immersive user experiences
- Translate complex visual and interactive requirements into scalable front-end solutions
- Maintain clean, modular, and well-documented code
- Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to technical discussions
Required Skills & Experience:
- Strong commercial experience with React.js
- Proven experience with WebGL (e.g., Three.js, Babylon.js or raw WebGL)
- Experience with state management (Redux, Zustand, etc.)
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and integrating front-end with backend services
- Strong debugging and performance optimisation skills
- Experience working in agile teams and using Git-based workflows
- Experience with TypeScript
- Familiarity with Next.js or other SSR frameworks
- Exposure to 3D modelling tools or pipelines (e.g., Blender, glTF)
- Understanding of accessibility and responsive design
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices
