Maintenance Engineer – Night Shift | St Helens, Merseyside
- Location: Alexandra Warehouse, WA10 3LR
- Hours: 10-hour night shifts, 5 nights a week (20:00-06:00, 1-hour unpaid break)
- Pay Rate: £17.19 per hour

Join a team committed to sustainability and operational excellence. As a Maintenance Engineer, you’ll play a vital role in keeping essential systems running smoothly and identifying improvements that reduce downtime and enhance performance.
- Key Responsibilities
- Perform nightly engineering checks (fire-watch, guard checks, machine checks, emergency stops)
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) on systems and machinery including conveyors, crushers, optical sorters, and motors
- Respond to breakdowns and complete work orders
- Report defects and suggest process improvements to reduce downtime
- What We’re Looking For
- Essential:
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience working with conveyors
