Lead Full Stack Engineer (Frontend heavy) – £80,000 – Tech for Good – (Wigan Hybrid)
G.Digital are back with one of our favourite partners, a AWS Powerhouse Tech for Good organisation, who are looking for a hands-on Tech Lead to take ownership of a brand-new front-end application, built on modern tech and designed to deliver seamless, accessible user experiences at scale.
You’ll lead the technical direction, set the vision, and build out responsive, performant interfaces with a strong focus on accessibility (WCAG).
While your expertise leans towards the front-end (TypeScript, modern JS frameworks, component-based architecture), you’ll also contribute across the stack—collaborating with backend engineers on Node.js, RESTful APIs, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS).

Responsibilities
- Lead the technical direction and set the vision for a brand-new front-end application

- Collaborate with backend engineers on Node.js, RESTful APIs, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS)
- Mentor a talented team and foster a collaborative, inclusive engineering culture
Qualifications
- Proven full stack experience with front-end strength
- Familiarity with Node.js, micro-frontends/headless CMS, cloud & containers
- A strategic thinker who thrives in fast-paced, mission-driven environments
