Our client, an innovative technology business in Bedford, is looking for a Lead Electronic Design Engineer to join their team. Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of electronic design, from concept through to production.
  • Oversee firmware development, ensuring integration and functionality align with business goals.
  • Work closely with senior stakeholders to define roadmaps and technical direction.
  • In the longer term, recruit and lead a team of engineers, heading up electronic and firmware development.

Qualifications

  • Degree-level education in Electronics Hardware Engineering (or equivalent senior-level experience).
  • Strong background in mixed signal circuit design.
  • Expertise in schematic capture, PCB layout, and design using Altium.
  • Solid understanding of EMC design principles and designing to meet industry regulations.
  • Experience working with firmware development, with the ability to guide and oversee integration.
  • The ability to balance leadership with being technically hands-on.
