Overview
The role is a full-time, permanent position for a Controls Engineer based in Worcester. The role is hybrid (2 days at home, 3 days in the office) with a base salary up to £62,000 per annum plus benefits.
The Role
We are seeking a skilled Controls Engineer to support the setup, testing, and fault finding of control systems across a range of industrial equipment. This hands-on role also involves leading a small team of technicians and providing technical support throughout the department.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support Controls Technicians, ensuring timely and accurate work
- Install, wire, and test control systems and panels
- Download PLC software and calibrate sensors and load cells
- Create and maintain test procedures and documentation
- Liaise with project and production teams to meet delivery targets
- Monitor electrical component stock and coordinate with purchasing
- Support R&D with equipment builds and testing
- Maintain up-to-date electrical drawings (AutoCAD)
What We’re Looking For
- HNC in Electrical/Controls Engineering or equivalent
- Strong experience with control systems, wiring, and instrumentation
- Familiarity with BS7671 18th Edition wiring regulations
- Confident using CAD and troubleshooting electrical systems
- Good leadership and communication skills
- Organised, methodical, and detail-oriented
Training & Development
- Full training provided on internal systems and tools
- Compliance and safety training included (e.g. CE, ATEX)
