Electrical Project Engineer – Slough at Specialist Technical Services (STS Group) is a market-leading Electrical and Instrumentation contractor delivering mission-critical projects for blue-chip clients. The STS Group is part of the Dussman Group, a privately owned integrated facility management specialist headquartered in Berlin. We have a substantial pipeline of work and need skilled professionals to support successful delivery for our clients.
The Opportunity
As our next Electrical Project Engineer, you will be responsible for the engineering activities on one of our key projects, coordinating the technical design with the onsite installation through to commissioning, ensuring that we achieve our project aims and objectives safely, efficiently and to the highest quality.
Responsibilities
- The Experienced on Site – Complete electrical design review to identify design gaps and deviations or contradictions in the specifications. Ensure that technical assessments are completed as required and any issues are resolved without delay.
- The Go-To – Coordinate the technical design with the onsite installation through to commissioning, ensuring that the project deliverables are achieved. Attend & record regular supply chain meetings to ensure that progress is monitored & maintained within the overall construction programme.
- Meeting the Highest Standards – Ensuring our sites are compliant with all relevant HSE legislation, and adherent to our HSEQ Management systems (ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001).
- Team Collaboration – Proactively work with site management teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure successful delivery of the project, such as reviewing the electrical installation with the BIM team to ensure the design is constructible with adequate space for installation and maintenance of all equipment and cabling.
Who We’re Looking For
- Relevant third level qualification and certification in Electrical Engineering.
- 5-15 years’ electrical engineering experience, with both design and project delivery.
- Experience with both LV and MV systems in data centre or life sciences industries.
- Highly competent in compiling test packs, FTOP’s and O&Ms and presenting for approval.
- Excellent IT skills, the ability to learn new systems with ease.
- A self-starter and capable of working on your own initiative.
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills. High Proficiency in English language (written & spoken).
- Candidates must have work authorisation for the United Kingdom.
