Principal Back-End Developer – Lead, Build & Shape a High-Growth SaaS Platform
Up to £80,000 | C#, .NET, Azure, TDD | Manchester HQ

We’re working with a fast-growing, award-winning SaaS company that’s creating products loved by businesses across the UK. As the business scales, they’re seeking a Principal Back-End Developer to play a key role in shaping both the technology and the engineering culture.

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Define and drive the technical direction across multiple products
- Build scalable, high-performance applications using .NET Core, Azure, and modern engineering practices
- Mentor engineers and elevate team capabilities through guidance and support
- Work closely with Product, QA, Design, and Delivery teams — your input will influence key decisions
- Promote high-quality software through TDD, CI/CD, and a culture of continuous improvement
What You’ll Bring:
- Proven expertise in C#, .NET Core, and cloud platforms such as Azure
- Strong understanding of TDD, CI/CD, and building scalable systems
- Strategic thinking with the ability to make informed, practical technical decisions
- Excellent interpersonal skills — whether mentoring, pair programming, or leading discussions
