Overview
Copello are looking for several Product Safety Engineers at a Senior level on behalf of a Defence Prime who are delivering on current gen and next-gen programmes. This role can be performed on a hybrid basis with locations including Bristol, Weymouth, Portsmouth, Surrey and Yorkshire.

Due to the sensitive nature of the projects, all applicants need to be UK Passport holders due to security restrictions.
Responsibilities
- Governance of safety analysis and assessment activities
- Assurance to process approvals and provide feedback/constructive criticism when issues arise
- Educate wider areas of the business to ensure the team adheres to policies
Qualifications
- Educated to degree level in Engineering or equivalent experience
- Experience in high hazard industries (Defence, Oil & Gas, Rail, etc)
- Safety case development/Engineering skills
- Previous roles in Product Safety Engineering
- Experience in any of: Structural, Electrical, Control & Instrumentation, Engineering Systems, Equipment, Procedures & Standards
- Knowledge of: TUV, HAZID, HAZAN, ALARP, FTA, FHA, FSA, HAZOP
- Software & Hardware, Capability Management
- Programme/Engineering Delivery
- Knowledge of Defence Standards 00-56, 00-55, DSA-01, DSA-02
