Overview

Refreshing Finance Recruitment is assisting with recruiting a recently qualified Management Accountant for a PE-backed SME in the AI content management IT space. The company has private equity backing, supportive management, a flexible work environment, and strong learning and growth opportunities. This role is hybrid with an office in Reading two days a week.

Who you need to be

• Fully qualified ACCA or CIMA accountant. Please only apply if you’re fully qualified.
• Experienced working as a management accountant in a PE backed SME.
• Energetic, positive, and ready for a new challenge.

What you’ll be doing

• Manage bookkeeping to trial balance, owning accurate & timely data in Xero, ready to month-end timetable.
• Production of group management accounts including all necessary month-end journals and reconciliations.
• Support the Finance Manager in drafting the commentary on the group’s financial performance vs comparatives.
• Help prepare the monthly board pack and investor reports.
• Prepare the quarterly VAT return.
• Manage the processing of the Sales Ledger and prepare a monthly Credit Management Report, chase all overdue debts.
• Support the Finance Manager and Head of HR with a range of duties.
• Provide financial analysis support to the CFO and other members of the Senior Leadership team when required.
• Own loan accounting computations & bank transactions.
• Review internal accounting processes with the CFO and Finance Manager as necessary to improve accuracy & timeliness.
• Assist Finance Manager in the annual audit process.
• Supervise the Accounts Assistant.
