Senior Director – Head of Platform Engineering, Infrastructure & Security
Head of IT & Cyber Security – E-commerce, Networking, NIST – £100,000 – £110,000
A leading sustainable e-commerce retailer are searching for a Head of IT & Cyber Security to take ownership of a complex, fast-evolving IT estate and drive strategic technology transformation across their global operations.
The Head of IT & Cyber Security’s responsibilities will be:
- Develop and deliver an IT and cyber security strategy to enable business growth and operational efficiency.
- Lead and develop a lean, high-performing IT and cyber security team across multiple locations.
- Oversee IT infrastructure management including upgrading end-of-life firewalls, enhancing WiFi networks and improving overall network resilience.
- Implement automated remote patching processes and software/hardware inventory management.
- Own the cybersecurity roadmap, working towards NIST Cybersecurity Framework (NIST 3) maturity.
- Manage third-party technology partners, vendors and service providers.
- Create effective processes for logging, prioritising and resolving support requests.
- Lead internal security awareness and training initiatives.
The Head of IT & Cyber Security will be expected to have experience with:
- Proven experience in IT leadership roles including cybersecurity responsibility in scaling businesses (200-1,000 FTE).
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, service delivery and enterprise systems.
- Hands on experience with networking, firewalls, WiFi.
- Experience managing budgets, contracts and third-party vendors.
- Exposure to both on-premise and cloud technologies (Microsoft 365, Teams, Linux/Ubuntu).
- Track record of improving user experience through reliable, responsive IT support.
- Ability to deliver outcomes in a lean, fast-paced environment with limited resources.
- Experience managing geographically dispersed teams.
