We are seeking an ambitious Senior Business Development Manager to join our London Bankside Team on a permanent basis. This may suit a Senior professional, or those with equivalent titles such as Senior Workplace Advisor, with B2B experience (minimum 3 years desirable).

What you’ll contribute to

In this role you’ll support colleagues across business growth activities, proactively seek out, foster, and convert new business opportunities within the commercial real estate and Design & Build sectors, and drive company growth.

You will contribute to the business by:

  • Generating leads through research and identifying market trends.
  • Managing a database of live opportunities and market intelligence.
  • Securing and converting new project leads, with preference for experience in the commercial real estate or design & build sector (not essential).

How you will make an impact

The successful candidate will have proven experience in a business-to-business (B2B) sales or telesales environment and a track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets. Knowledge of the commercial real estate and UK workplace design and fit-out market is desirable. You will join our target-driven Business Development team and thrive in a professional, supportive culture. You should be proactive in identifying and pursuing new opportunities, with strong communication, resilience, and leadership/mentoring abilities.

Key responsibilities

  • Proactively seek new business opportunities by identifying and targeting new markets to expand Modus’ client base.
  • Secure business appointments by arranging qualified meetings with senior business leaders to present Modus’ services.
  • Mentor the business development team by sharing expertise and guiding junior team members to improve performance.
  • Develop relationships with senior client contacts and commercial real estate agents to nurture long-term connections and uncover new project leads.
  • Foster client relationships to build rapport and trust with prospective clients.

Qualifications

The role requires a Senior professional with B2B sales experience (minimum 3 years desirable) and the ability to identify and pursue new opportunities. Strong communication, resilience, and leadership/mentoring capabilities are important.
