Nursery Room Leader – Balham

Salary: Up to £32,500 per year (depending on qualifications & experience)

Contract: Full-time, permanent

Location: Balham, London

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Room Leader to join our Balham Nursery. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a high-quality early years provider, offering a nurturing, engaging, and stimulating environment where children can learn, play, and grow.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver activities that meet children’s developmental needs
• Provide a safe, nurturing, stimulating environment in line with EYFS standards
• Monitor, record, and celebrate milestones in children’s development
• Communicate effectively with families to build strong relationships
• Lead and support colleagues to maintain high-quality care and learning
• Ensure compliance with safeguarding and child protection policies

Qualifications

• Full & relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification – essential
• Previous experience in an Early Years setting (ideally as a Room Leader, Nursery Practitioner, Nursery Nurse, or Early Years Educator)
• Strong knowledge of EYFS, safeguarding, and child protection
• Excellent communication skills and a passion for early childhood education
• A commitment to delivering the highest standards of care
