Lead Crypto Software Engineer – Front-Office
Digital-Markets Group | London (5 days on-site) | Package to £180 k + bonus

Revenue is climbing fast and the trading floor now needs a hands-on Lead Engineer to spearhead brand-new builds.

- Code 70 % of your week in Python 3.12 and Go 1.22; dip into C++/Java when micro-seconds matter.
- Tackle venue gateways, market-data ingestion and order-routing at serious scale.

Day-to-day
- Design and ship green-field low-latency services for pricing and execution.
- Remain hands-on while guiding a tight squad of engineers.
- Pair with traders to prototype, test and deploy new strategies at speed.
- Champion automated testing, observability and airtight security.
What you’ll bring
- Front-office / buy-side experience in FX, equities, commodities or crypto.
- Deep expertise in Python or Go, plus working knowledge of C++ or Java.
- Proven record building exchange-connectivity or execution-flow systems.
- Delivery focus – comfortable smashing blockers and tight timelines.
- Leadership across architecture, SDLC and developer mentoring.
- Willingness to be in the London office every day.
