A respected law firm is seeking a Salary Partner-level Family Solicitor with 8+ years’ post-qualification experience to join its well-established Family team in Bath. This senior opportunity focuses on developing the department’s private law services, particularly financial remedy work for domestic and international clients, while supporting the Head of Department in delivering strategic growth.

The Role

You’ll play a key role in leading client relationships, driving business development, and mentoring junior colleagues. Responsibilities include:

  • Acting as a trusted advisor to strategically important clients and referrers
  • Supporting cross-practice collaboration across business units
  • Leading service improvements and innovation in private law offerings
  • Driving consistent income and profitability growth
  • Developing and executing client/referrer development plans
  • Building and maintaining a strategic network of contacts
  • Supporting and developing team members to foster a high-performance culture
  • Translating firm strategy into departmental KPIs and growth plans
  • Identifying opportunities and risks, and implementing contingency strategies

Candidate Requirements

This role is suited to a qualified solicitor with:

  • 8+ years PQE in family law
  • Strong experience in financial remedy work (domestic and international)
  • Exceptional client management and interpersonal skills
  • Proven track record in business development and strategic thinking
  • Leadership and mentoring capabilities
  • Commercial awareness and a results-driven mindset
