Overview

Stanton House is working with a medium sized, fast-paced private equity backed FMCG organisation based in Kent. We are seeking a talented Senior Finance Analyst to join its high-performing finance team.

The Role

As a Senior Finance Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting strategic and operational decision-making through robust financial analysis, insightful reporting, and business partnering. You will work closely with commercial, operations, and supply chain teams to drive performance, improve profitability, and enhance financial processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with business unit leaders to provide financial insight, challenge, and support across commercial and operational functions.
  • Deliver detailed financial analysis and commentary on sales, margins, and cost performance versus budget, forecast, and prior year.
  • Support the monthly management reporting and forecasting cycles, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and clear communication of results.
  • Prepare business cases, investment appraisals, and scenario modelling to support strategic decisions.
  • Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, reporting tools, and data integrity.
  • Contribute to annual budgeting and long-range planning activities.
  • Collaborate with FP&A and Commercial Finance teams to align reporting and performance metrics.
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders, influencing business outcomes.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) or finalist with strong analytical experience.
  • Proven track record in a commercial finance, FP&A, or business partnering role within FMCG or another fast-moving, data-driven environment.
  • Excellent Excel and financial modelling skills; experience with ERP systems (Dynamics 365) and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is desirable.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify complex financial data for non-finance stakeholders.
  • A proactive, inquisitive mindset with the confidence to challenge and influence at all levels.
  • Commercially astute, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
