An exciting opportunity has arisen for an AC Design Engineer to join an established engineering team at a leading innovator in electronic control systems for heavy machinery.

The Role
In this hybrid position, you’ll take ownership of AC powertrain system design and optimisation as well as AC electrical panel development – playing a critical role in shaping next‑generation machinery technology.
Responsibilities and Qualifications
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to design, model, and test AC machines and powertrain systems.
- Lead the design and specification of AC electrical panels, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with IEC/NEC standards.
- Conduct simulations and analysis to enhance performance and reliability.
- Support product development from concept through to production and field deployment.
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 3+ years’ experience in AC powertrain design, power electronics, or EV systems.
- Strong understanding of AC machine design, control, and integration.
- Skilled in CAD design (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and electrical schematic development.
- Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills, with a collaborative mindset.
