Tax Manager (Hedge Fund)

Base pay range

Tax Manager | London | Hedge Fund | £80-100,000 + Bonus

We’re working with a well‑established hedge fund that’s looking to grow its Tax team. This is a newly created role reporting directly to the Head of Tax, offering a broad mix of work including:

• UK corporate tax
• International tax
• Fund‑related matters

Because the role spans multiple areas, we’re open to candidates from a variety of backgrounds. You might be coming from an in‑house role or from practice, and your experience could be focused on funds or corporate tax. Hedge‑fund experience is not a must; broader funds knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Corporate tax compliance
• Corporate tax advisory – restructures, transactions, new office openings
• International tax – including Pillar 2 and transfer pricing support
• Fund tax
• Working with external advisors across legal and Big 4 firms
• Ad‑hoc tax queries that could cover: employment tax, VAT, deal work

Requirements

• ACA/CTA or equivalent – a preference but we are open to those qualified by experience
• Ideally, practice trained – this could be your first move in‑house
• Ideally, you will have worked within the alternatives space – this may be via your client base
