Associate Solicitor / Senior Associate Solicitor – Catastrophic Injury

Location: Manchester, Leeds, Newcastle or Sheffield

My client is seeking a motivated Associate to join their highly respected Catastrophic Injury team. This is an exceptional opportunity to work within one of the strongest practices in the market, supporting a renowned Partner on complex, sensitive, and high‑value cases, including matters that have attracted national media attention.

The Role

  • Investigate and manage high‑value, multi‑track, and large‑loss cases
  • Work on complex motor, EL/PL, and sport‑related concussion matters
  • Handle both pre‑litigated and litigated files
  • Manage cases involving brain injury, spinal injury, chronic pain, and major loss
  • Collaborate with a top‑tier, forward‑thinking team recognised for innovation and client‑focused solutions
  • Engage with cross‑border cases via an international office network

Required Experience

  • 2 – 10 years’ PQE UK Qualified Solicitor or CILEX with equivalent experience
  • Litigation experience in catastrophic injury defence or claimant work
  • Must be able to handle a caseload of multi‑track cases with values up to £1 million
  • Comfortable with client contact, relationship building, and attending business development events
  • Ability to manage complex, high‑value files with precision and professionalism
