Senior Project Manager

TEXO Recruitment are currently recruiting on behalf of our external client for an experienced Senior Project Manager on a contract basis, to oversee a major refurbishment project with full residential fit out. Step into a pivotal role where you’ll drive a major, high-value project and lead a challenging refurbishment project to outstanding completion.

Location: Southampton

Start Date: December / Early Jan

Duration: 12 months

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the full delivery of a major refurbishment and residential fit-out project.
• Manage and coordinate site teams, subcontractors, design consultants, and suppliers.
• Maintain tight control of programme, budget, quality, and project reporting.
• Drive Health & Safety compliance and ensure all works align with CDM and regulatory standards.
• Work closely with the client and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth project progression.
• Identify risks, issues, and potential delays, implementing effective mitigation strategies.
• Produce regular progress reports and updates for senior leadership and client teams.

Requirements

• Demonstrable experience as a Senior Project Manager on large-scale refurbishment projects.
• Strong background in residential fit-out, construction, or building redevelopment.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams.
• Strong commercial and contractual awareness.
• Comprehensive knowledge of UK construction regulations and H&S standards.
• High-level communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
