Business Development Officer – GEDU Global Education
Location: East London and Leeds Campuses (Permanent, Full Time – 40 hrs/week)
Salary: £30,000–£35,000pa + discretionary annual bonus
About the role: Reporting to the Business Development Manager, you will support the GBS Business Development Team by developing and maintaining excellent relationships, identifying new partnership opportunities with student recruitment agencies, maximizing enrolment, analysing customer feedback, providing insight for product development, attending meetings and training partners, conducting market research, and engaging in internal brand marketing events. Please note, we are unable to offer sponsorship for this position.
Responsibilities
- Develop and sustain solid relationships with company stakeholders and customers.
- Identify and create partnerships with new potential student recruitment agencies or partners.
- Support programme management team members to maximise enrolment.
- Actively assist the team in achieving the student recruitment target for each intake.
- Analyse customer feedback data to determine satisfaction with company products and services.
- Provide insight into product development and competitive positioning.
- Attend business meetings and provide training to new recruiting partners regularly.
- Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities.
- Get actively involved in internal events for brand marketing.
Essential Qualifications
- Demonstrable experience as a Business Development Officer or in a similar role within the educational sector.
- Good sales, negotiation and persuasive skills, and an excellent people person.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to travel as needed.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Effective communication skills at all levels and ability to deal with people at all levels.
- Good business acumen.
- Accuracy and detail‑oriented.
- Ability to be adaptable and flexible as required.
Desirable Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or Administration, Marketing, Finance or a related field.
