Production Manager – Food Manufacturing
I am working with a leading food manufacturer in Bedfordshire, supporting them with the recruitment of a hands‑on Production Manager to lead their day‑to‑day manufacturing operations and help drive a safe, efficient, and high‑performing production environment. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys leading people, improving processes, and maintaining high standards within a busy food production site.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading and supporting the production team, ensuring everyone works safely and effectively.
- Keeping processes running smoothly — staffing, planning, training, and performance management.
- Monitoring output and efficiency, identifying improvements, and driving continuous change.
- Maintaining strong hygiene, quality, and food safety standards.
- Supporting audits, reducing waste, and helping the site hit key performance targets.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in food manufacturing or a similar production environment.
- Experience working with BRC.
- Holds HACCP level 3, food safety level 3 and IOSH.
- A confident people manager who can motivate and develop a team.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise in a fast‑paced environment.
- Safety‑focused, proactive, and comfortable working on the production floor.
- Able to lead projects and build strong working relationships.
- Willingness to travel to customers when required.
