Location: London (Hybrid)
We are supporting a global Asset Manager looking to make a new hire.
This role involves working closely with internal stakeholders and external advisors to support new markets, product launches, and investment opportunities. It is a fully advisory led position – compliance is outsourced and, the group have a separate operational tax team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Tax Advisory for Investments and Products:
- Provide tax input on new market entry strategies, investment structures, and product launches.
- Collaborate with deal teams to assess tax implications of transactions and ensure optimal structuring.
- Advise on cross-border tax considerations, withholding tax, and treaty benefits.
- Risk Management and Compliance:
- Identify, assess, and elevate tax risks across funds and investment vehicles.
- Ensure adherence to global tax regulations and internal governance frameworks.
- Develop and maintain tax risk registers and implement mitigation strategies.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Partner with investment, legal, and operations teams to deliver tax solutions aligned with business objectives.
- Liaise with external tax advisors and regulators where necessary.
- Represent the group in external industry forums and peer meetings to share insights and best practices.
- Investor Support and Due Diligence:
- Respond to investor tax queries and provide detailed information during due diligence processes.
- Prepare tax-related disclosures for offering documents and investor communications.
