An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Reliability Engineer to join a global leader in the aerospace and defence industry, working on innovative mission‑critical systems.

You will be part of the Reliability, Maintainability & Safety (RMS) team, embedding Design for Reliability (DfR) practices across new and existing programmes, and ensuring compliance with international aerospace standards. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform reliability, maintainability, and safety (RMS) analyses at both component and system level.
  • Produce reliability predictions, FMECAs/FMEAs, maintainability analyses, and fault tree analyses (FTA).
  • Support DfR activities such as DFMEA, risk management logs, HALT/HASS and robustness modelling.
  • Analyse in‑service data and support FRACAS processes to drive product improvement.
  • Work with design and development teams to ensure products meet certification requirements (ARP4754A, ARP4761, DO-178C/DO-254, MIL‑HDBK-217).
  • Prepare technical reports and liaise with internal stakeholders and customers.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Degree in Engineering (or equivalent).
  • 2+ years’ experience in a technical engineering role.
  • Background in aerospace, defence, avionics or other safety‑critical sectors preferred.
  • Hands‑on knowledge of FMEA, FMECAs, FRACAS, reliability block diagrams, fault tree analysis, and reliability modelling.
  • Familiarity with aerospace certification standards (ARP4754A, ARP4761, DO-178C, DO-254, MIL‑HDBK-217).
  • Experience with reliability/statistical tools such as Minitab, Weibull or Windchill Quality Solutions.
  • Knowledge of fuel, hydraulic or avionics systems would be an advantage.
