Job Description

We’re currently looking to hire a Quantitative Analyst to join L&G Asset Management and our Active Strategies team. This is an exciting opportunity where you’ll play a key role in enhancing investment processes and supporting portfolio management. What you’ll be doing

  • Creating, building and enhancing systems connecting credit analysis to portfolio construction and management
  • Maintaining and improving tools for monitoring and understanding portfolios using central data sources
  • Developing enhanced solutions to streamline order creation and increase portfolio management bandwidth
  • Improving and maintaining tools for monitoring exposures against strategic and regulatory requirements
  • Supporting credit market analysis for internal strategy meetings and external presentations
  • Coordinating with other quant teams to deliver department-wide quantitative solutions
  • Operating within risk, compliance and ESG requirements while promoting a strong conduct culture

Qualifications

Who we’re looking for:

  • Degree-level qualification; CFA or equivalent financial qualification useful but not essential
  • Strong coding skills, particularly in Excel/VBA, with Python advantageous, and experience automating complex tasks
  • Solid understanding of fixed income mathematics; familiarity with high‑yield credit advantageous
  • Knowledge of statistics and ability to apply quantitative techniques to large datasets
  • Experience with MS Excel and VBA for data analysis and reporting
  • An enthusiastic understanding of financial markets and investment principles
  • Proven problem‑solving skills and ability to deliver projects effectively
  • Collaborative mindset with strong communication skills to work across teams
