Overview
An elite global hedge fund is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to work on its trading infrastructure. The ideal candidate is CCIE qualified with a strong background in low latency and multicast networks, and has experience building ultra‑fast, reliable connectivity for proprietary trading technology in a bleeding‑edge Cisco environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and troubleshoot global network infrastructure
- Develop industry‑leading network architectures
- Implement optimisations to achieve low‑latency networking
- Redesign, expand, and upgrade network systems
- Support high‑frequency trading teams and high‑frequency trading operations
- Automate network processes, conduct capacity planning, and advance connectivity
- Manage network expansion, upgrades, and support
- Provide expert support to high‑frequency trading teams
Exposure & Technical Requirements
- Experience with Cisco, Juniper, and Arista gear
- Security expertise with Palo Alto & Fortinet platforms
- Automation and Python scripting, including Ansible and Terraform
- Cisco CCIE/CCDE qualification or equivalent experience in a trading environment
