Manufacturing Engineer (Electro‑mechanical)

Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimise manufacturing processes to deliver safe, efficient, and repeatable production workflows.
  • Review processes to improve quality, reduce costs, and boost efficiency, considering workflow, space, and equipment layout.
  • Collaborate with Quality Engineers to ensure product and process standards are met.
  • Provide clear production insights to support decision‑making, including labour, machine utilisation, and bottleneck analysis.
  • Investigate issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Maintain accurate process documentation, including PFMEA, control plans, and work instructions.
  • Act as a manufacturing expert, supporting the wider business with technical knowledge.
  • Support the New Product Introduction (NPI) team to ensure smooth transitions from design to production.
  • Keep professional and technical skills up to date to drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a similar engineering role within electro‑mechanical manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, including final assembly, flow lines, and workflow optimisation.
  • Proactive, results‑driven mindset with the ability to identify issues and implement process improvements.
