The Opportunity:
Finatal is partnered with a leading growth private equity fund looking for an experienced individual to join as a Partner. This is an incredible opportunity to join one of the most sought‑after private equity funds across Europe.
The ideal candidate will have had extensive investing experience across mid‑market/growth private equity.
The Role:
Investment Transactions:
- Originating and sourcing high-quality investment opportunities aligned with the fund’s investment strategy.
- Developing compelling investment theses and leading evaluation of potential investments.
- Overseeing and coordinating commercial, financial, legal, and operational due diligence.
- Structuring and negotiating transactions, including equity and debt arrangements.
- Preparing investment papers and presenting recommendations to the Investment Committee.
- Leading relationships with lenders and financing partners.
- Serve as Board Director or Chair across portfolio companies.
- Partner closely with management teams to define and deliver value‑creation plans.
- Support strategic initiatives including organic growth, M&A, international expansion, and operational improvement.
- Lead exit planning and execution, including trade sales and secondary buyouts.
Business Development & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with management teams, advisers, intermediaries, and industry contacts to generate proprietary deal flow.
- Represent the fund externally with credibility and professionalism.
- Play an active role in fundraising and investor relations, including meetings with Limited Partners.
- Contribute to the firm’s broader strategic objectives and long‑term development.
Requirements:
- Significant experience in private equity investing, ideally within a UK or European mid‑market fund.
- Proven track record of leading investments from origination through to exit.
- Strong experience in deal execution, portfolio management, and value creation.
- Prior background in investment banking, transaction services, or strategy consulting advantageous.
- Demonstrable experience operating at board level with senior management teams.
