Following a further review, my retail client is seeking an experienced consultant, or senior professional, to support a major Supply Chain transformation programme. This is a high‑impact 12‑month contract role working closely with the leadership team to shape strategy, improve performance, and build capability across the team.
What you’ll be doing:
- Defining and shaping a business‑wide Supply Chain Strategy
- Delivering the Supply Chain elements of the Annual Business Plan, focusing on:
- Availability – improving customer outcomes while reducing cost and excess stock
- Distribution Centre performance – driving efficiency from a Supply Chain perspective
- Supply Chain systems – advising on effective solutions and supporting implementation
- Leading and supporting major change and project management activity
- Building technical capability across UK and offshore Supply teams
- Working closely with external partners on end‑to‑end transformation initiatives
What we’re looking for:
- Essential: Senior Supply Chain leader with strong experience across either FMCG, retail or wholesale
- Proven background in developing and delivering Supply Chain strategy
- Experience improving availability, stock flow and end‑to‑end efficiency
- Strong capability in system selection, implementation or optimisation
- Excellent stakeholder management and change leadership skills
- Ability to work across multi‑site and multi‑country teams
