Equali – Senior Software Engineer
Equali is a Techstars and angel-backed B2B software company providing FinTech, eCommerce and SaaS businesses with effortless reconciliation and accounting automation. Backed by Techstars and angel investors, and supported by new partnerships and favourable regulatory trends, we expect strong growth over the next 12 months. We’re already working with customers like Sunday (payments solution for hospitality customers), and are looking to expand across FinTech and eCommerce in particular.

About You
We’re looking for a hands‑on Senior Software Engineer with full‑stack experience, with a focus on backend development, who is excited to help shape and scale a fast‑growing product.
About the Role
In this role, you will:
- Drive Equali’s technical and product evolution as we scale.
- Build and enhance the full stack: integrate with external systems (e.g. payment providers, ERPs), expand backend services, contribute to the frontend dashboard, and develop our infrastructure.
- Collaborate closely with customers, internal teams and external partners to ensure the product solves real problems and delivers clear value.
- Take ownership of features from design through to deployment and monitoring.
What We’re Looking For
- Passion for building customer‑centric products in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong software development experience with Python and Django in a professional environment.
- Solid understanding of AWS services—ideally including S3, Transfer Family, EC2 and RDS.
- Experience across the full software development lifecycle (design, build, testing, deployment).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and confidence interacting with customers and partners.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum and/or Kanban).
