Work Schedule: 4-day week, 32 hours (Monday Thursday)

Role Overview:

This Graduate Engineer position offers a balance of hands-on technical work and customer-facing activities, making it ideal for someone eager to learn and grow in a high-tech, customer-focused environment

  • Execution of Customer Orders
    • Focused on the company’s products, such as robotic drilling, inspection, and guidance systems.
    • Responsibilities include developing measurement plans, robot simulation, metrology, system setups, and customer-facing activities (e.g., demonstrations, training, support).
    • This aspect of the role is hands-on, often involving travel and long hours, with on-the-job training.
  • Involves product development, specifically CAD and simulation.
  • Initial tasks will include overseeing the manufacture of specific company products and supporting documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Growth and Adoption:
    • Support the business’s growth by driving the adoption of the company’s technology and delivering standard products to the market.
  • Customer-Facing Activities:
    • Engage with customers through demonstrations, training, technical support, and project coordination.
    • First-line support for customers until the system is accepted.
  • Serve as a technical contact with suppliers, ensuring all equipment is calibrated and operational.
  • Best Practices Development:
    • Update and share best practices for using the company’s equipment internally and externally.
  • Project Coordination:
    • Coordinate various phases of projects to ensure smooth delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Ancillary Responsibilities:
    • Pre-sales support through simulations and demos.
    • Product testing and debugging.
    • Participation in new R&D programs.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate in Mechanical Engineering or similar applicable subject.
  • Driving license.
  • Knowledge and experience with CAD/simulation.
  • Practical competence with both tools and computers.
  • Functional:
    • Ability to train other engineers.
    • Competency in reading technical drawings.
    • Independent work capability.
    • Commercial empathy and the ability to convert customer needs into sales.
