Payments Compliance Officer (Contract)

Hybrid London-based (can be remote, with occasional London travel)

We’re supporting a payments business with an urgent short-term requirement to clear a compliance backlog. This is a hands‑on contract role, starting immediately and running initially for 10 weeks (to end of March).

Key focus areas:

• Drafting and updating compliance policies and procedures
• Compliance monitoring and audit support
• Payments regulatory coverage including PSD2 / FSMA
• Working across safeguarding, complaints, Consumer Duty, operational resilience
• Authorisation and/or change of control processes

Requirements:

• Proven payments / EMI compliance experience at manager level or above
• Comfortable delivering at pace with minimal supervision
• Immediately available
• London-based preferred (remote considered with some London visits)
