Salary: Up to £75,000 (depending on experience) + bonus
NOTE: Due to the nature of this client’s work, candidates must be eligible for UK DV Clearance.
As a Security Architect, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering secure architectures across enterprise IT and operational technology (OT) environments. You will work closely with solution architects, engineering teams, and assurance stakeholders to design, implement, and validate security controls across the full delivery lifecycle.
This is a hands‑on architecture role requiring both strategic design thinking and practical implementation experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of security architectures for complex systems and platforms
- Conduct threat modelling to identify risks and define proportionate security controls
- Provide security input across solution design, delivery, and operational phases
- Produce and present security architecture documentation and design artefacts
- Deliver presentations to technical and non-technical stakeholders, articulating risk, controls, and design decisions clearly
- Support environments involving OT, networking, and hybrid enterprise architectures
- Work alongside assurance, risk, and testing teams to validate security effectiveness
- Contribute authoritative security advice aligned to recognised control frameworks
Required Experience
- 4+ years’ experience in cyber security architecture, or a closely related technical security role
- Strong technical security background with demonstrable architecture and design ownership
- Proven experience delivering security design and implementation, not purely advisory
- Hands‑on experience with threat modelling methodologies
- Exposure to operational technology (OT) or complex networked environments
- Experience working on government or highly regulated accounts is strongly preferred
- Ability to communicate complex security concepts clearly through documentation and presentations
