Overview
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Deputy Room Leader to join a welcoming and well-established nursery in Barnet. This is a full-time position within a nurturing, year-round nursery environment that is committed to delivering high-quality early years education and care. Salary: £30,000+ (depending on qualifications and experience).
Responsibilities
- Supporting the Room Leader in the day-to-day running of the classroom
- Working collaboratively with a team of practitioners to deliver engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences
- Helping to plan and support activities in line with the EYFS framework
- Supporting children’s learning, development, and wellbeing in a safe and stimulating environment
- Playing a key role in maintaining high standards of care, routine, and classroom organisation
Requirements
- Minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification
- At least 1 year of recent Day Nursery experience
- Previous experience supporting room leadership is desirable
- We are looking for someone who is proactive, reliable, and passionate about early years education
Hours and Availability
This is a full-time role (40 hours per week over 5 days), working a weekly rotating shift pattern:
- 7:30am – 4:30pm
- 9:30am – 6:30pm
The nursery is open all year round, excluding Bank Holidays and 2 weeks over Christmas.
