Quantity Surveyor – Facilities Services (Public Sector)
Overview
We are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to support the delivery of facilities and capital works projects within a public sector environment. The role will work closely with the Project Commercial Lead, facilities teams, and key stakeholders to ensure effective commercial and cost management across a varied project portfolio.
The position is based in Reigate, Surrey, with some travel to operational sites. Flexible working arrangements are supported.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide cost management and commercial support across facilities and works projects within a public sector framework.
- Manage budgets, forecasts, valuations, and final accounts to ensure value for money and financial control.
- Prepare and manage tender and procurement documentation in line with public sector frameworks and procedures.
- Support contract administration, including interim valuations and change control.
- Advise on procurement strategies, contract selection, and market conditions.
- Ensure compliance with NEC4 and other standard forms of contract.
- Act as a key interface between clients, facilities teams, contractors, and consultants.
- Identify opportunities to improve cost control, processes, and service delivery.

- Experience in cost management within facilities management or public sector environments.
- Working knowledge of NEC4 contracts.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Able to manage multiple priorities and work to tight deadlines.
- Committed to public sector values, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Degree-qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline.
- Ideally working towards or holding CIOB or RICS membership.
