Payroll Officer – City Centre Leicester – Accountancy Practice
Location: Leicester City Centre (hybrid 2 days work from home and flexible working hours)
Salary: £27,500 – £32,500 per annum (depending on experience)

Our client, a well-established accountancy practice based in Leicester City Centre, is seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join their growing team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a payroll professional to develop their career in a supportive environment.
Responsibilities – Payroll Officer
- Processing end-to-end payroll for multiple clients using Sage and Xero software
- Ensuring compliance with RTI, auto-enrolment, and pension regulations
- Handling PAYE, NIC calculations, and year-end reporting
- Managing client queries and building strong relationships
- Maintaining accurate payroll records and submitting filings
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ payroll experience within an accountancy practice or bureau
- Strong working knowledge of Sage Payroll; Xero experience is advantageous
- Excellent understanding of UK payroll legislation
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple payrolls and meet deadlines
