What you’ll be doing
- Supply Chain engagement: monthly engagement meetings with subcontractors and supervisors.
- Accountable for RAMs, procedures and SSOW to be in place throughout the project.
- Lead pre‑starts with supply chains and their mobilisation of the project.
- Implement roles and responsibilities of the project team and supply chain with the correct competencies aligned to the level of risk, and approvals as per company requirements/systems.
- Ensure the project and supply chain meet the latest Balfour Beatty policies and procedures.
- Assist the project leadership and operational team in setting and implementing the plan for sustainability targets and goals.
- Lead the raising of H&S observations on site and their closure.
- Lead operation teams on the project.
- Coordinate and implement site‑wide daily briefings.
- Programme delivery management for the holistic part of their project or the whole project including logic and sequencing resolutions with wider project requirements.
- Accountable for the implementation of short‑interval control (short‑term planning) decision‑making concerning the overall programme.
- Coordinate and plan BB construction teams’ work with an understanding of priority to the critical path and EVA efficiency.
- Accountable for integration of the planning and site teams, ensuring clear two‑way communication between all parties with accurate records of progress, risk/blocker identification and mitigation.
- Compliance and integration of credit rules between planner and site operations.
- Enforce disciplined site records by both the BB construction team and supply chain.
- Include BBK engagement and integration within the project with transparent communication on a ‘one’ project goal.
- Lead the priority allocation of resources and logistics.
- Accountable for plant and access of the project, ensuring that the facilitation of critical activities occurs in the required sequence.
- Accountable for site set‑up mobilisation and maintenance of the project life cycle confirming best practices.
- Accountable for operational project readiness in line with the project specifics.
- Produce and implement phasing construction plan with logistical constraints and opportunities, identifying mitigations and action plans.
- Plant, lifting and access management with direction given to the logistical team in line with site operations and programme.
- Own efficient site deliveries and logistical material/waste removal movements throughout the project with clear guidance to the logistics team.
- Set the quality standards of the project, inclusive of relevant documentation.
- Lead teams to deliver in accordance with the design and spec with full knowledge of the ERs & design development.
- Keep up to date with regulation changes.
- Identify and acquire lessons learned that are relatable to project specifics and implement beneficial practices.
- Implement 3D modelling to assess technical buildability and resolve construction constraints.

- Understanding of M&E regulatory requirements and standards.
- Detailed understanding of safety protocols and best practices.
- Knowledge of contract negotiation and procurement.
- Detailed understanding of quality assurance and quality control processes.
- Understanding of risk management and mitigation strategies.
- Understanding of environmental sustainability practices.
- Detailed understanding of construction technology and innovation.
- Understanding of digital implementation.
- Understanding of legal considerations and dispute resolution.
- Experience in leading and developing a small single‑disciplinary team.
- Previous construction management experience within the relevant industry is required.
- Involvement in developing and executing work package budgets.
- Experience with work package scheduling and timeline management.
- Experience with regulatory agencies and ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.
- Advanced experience in handling safety management on construction sites and implementing safety protocols.
