Company: Meraki Talent
Apply for the Junior Construction Solicitor: Major Projects & Contracts
Location: Glasgow
Job Description:

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a junior construction solicitor (NQ–3 PQE) to join a highly regarded construction and engineering team based in Glasgow.

The team sits within a leading international law firm with a strong reputation in the infrastructure, energy, real estate and major projects space. They advise a blue-chip client base across the UK and internationally, including developers, funders, contractors and public sector bodies, on some of the most high-profile and complex projects currently underway.

You will work closely with a market-recognised partner who is known for hands-on mentorship, technical excellence and building strong, collaborative teams. The environment is supportive and collegiate, with a genuine focus on development at junior level.

The Role

  • Advising on a range of non-contentious construction matters, including drafting and negotiating construction and engineering contracts
  • Working with standard forms such as JCT and NEC, alongside bespoke agreements
  • Supporting on major development, infrastructure and energy projects
  • Regular client exposure and the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility as you progress

Depending on experience, there may also be some exposure to contentious matters, though the focus is predominantly transactional.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified solicitor (or due to qualify) with 0–3 years’ PQE
  • Experience in construction law gained at a recognised firm (including training seat experience)
  • Strong drafting skills and attention to detail
  • Commercially minded, proactive and keen to develop within a specialist construction practice

Why Apply?

  • Join a top-tier construction team with an excellent market reputation
  • High-quality, interesting work on major projects
  • Strong training, mentoring and long-term career progression
  • Flexible and inclusive working culture

This role would suit someone looking to build a long-term career in construction law within a well-resourced, ambitious and supportive team.
