Senior Software Engineer

A growing technology company is expanding its engineering team and is hiring experienced Senior Software Engineer. The business is building new digital products and is strengthening its core platform with modern frontend architecture and well structured engineering practices.

The role

You will join a small senior engineering group working on a greenfield and existing product suite. The work includes new feature development, improving the reliability of the platform, integrating external services and contributing to technical decisions across the frontend and full stack.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high quality frontend features using modern frameworks
• Work across Next, and Typescript
• Build and maintain APIs and integrations
• Contribute to architecture and shared components
• Improve performance, structure and maintainability
• Work effectively within a small, collaborative engineering team

Required experience

• Five years plus software engineering experience
• Strong React, Next.js and TypeScript. NextJS being the main.
• Experience with API development and integration
• Solid understanding of frontend engineering patterns
• SQL experience (DB Access and DB interfacing)
• Ability to work in a hybrid setup with one office day per week

Nice to have

• Payments or third party API work
• Any experience with data visualisation, mapping, or similar frontend challenges
• Portfolio or GitHub showing recent projects

• £50k to £85k depending on level
